Actions that, without a doubt, form part of the corporate responsibility of many companies, including Real Conservera Espa\u00f1ola.<\/p><h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earth Day every day<\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At RCE, we believe in the importance of establishing an action plan to accomplish real, measurable results that contribute to being a sustainable company. For over a decade, we have implemented a responsible, environmentally friendly strategy in our company. With it, we want to do our part in achieving sustainability, but not just for one day, we want to do it every day.<\/p><h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Environmental resposibility<\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From our canned seafood, to our organic waste treatment, we have designed a strategy for our entire production process centred around the three R\u2019s: reduce, reuse and recycle.<\/p><div class=\"image\" style=\"text-align: center;\"> <\/div><div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"wp-image-2398 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/realconservera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/slide-3.jpg?resize=800%2C534&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\"><\/div><section class=\"a-post\"><h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recyclable packaging<\/h3><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a cannery, our products involve the use of plastic, paper, cardboard and metal. In order to reduce the impact of these materials on the environment, we are part of the <em>Sistema Colectivo de Resposabilidad Ampliada del Productor<\/em> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoembes.com\/es\">Ecoembes<\/a>. Through this program, we take part in a resposible management of the waste produced by our packaging as well as an annual estimate of the amount produced, helping reduce its environmental impact. This waste is then given value by converting it into reusable materials that will be used in future production batches. By doing this we try to be as circular as possible in terms of our use of materials.<\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reuse and the value of raw material<\/h3><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All the organic waste derivatives of our raw materials are processed almost daily through several galician companies such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aucosa.com\/index.html\">AUCOSA<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abonomar.com\/index2.html\">ABONOMAR<\/a>, with the objective of reusing them for producing fish flour or bird food.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These waste products range from clam shells to the waste generated from cleaning the fish and moluscs we use, or even the olive oil we use for frying our mussels or in the canning process.<\/p><h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: windowtext;\">Investing in our planet<\/span><\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As with any change, these measures took some getting used to, but they have made a radical change in the way we treat our environment as a company, since &#8220;now is the time for the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, and our livelihoods\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.earthday.org\/\">earthday.org<\/a>).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the thematic of Earth Day 2022 suggests, we should invest, now more than ever, in our planet if we want to preserve it.
