Mussel Tacos Recipe

We present to you our Mejillones Gamberros “Thug Mussels”, a recipe from Rocio Cocina Demiabuelo, author of the blog La cocina de mi abuelo “My grandpa’s kitchen”.

The goal is to create simple and different recipes with Real Conservera Española preserves



Guacamole with our marinade mussels

1 can of mussels Real Conservera
2 avocados
½ red onion
4 or 5 dried tomatoes in oil
Tabasco or hot chili
Fried corn pancakes



Chop the red onion into very small pieces and put in a bowl. We add the dried tomatoes also very chopped.
Open the avocados and add the pieces to the bowl and crush with a fork while mix everything.
Add the chopped coriander and the chili or a little tabasco to taste. We’ll correct this with a little lime until we have a dressing to our liking.
Then, add a little guacamole on top of each corn pancake and on top of that add the RCE mussels.

Our trick: if you add the avocado seeds to the guacamole until it is time to plate, you’ll prevent the avocado from rusting.
