The Real Conservera Squids come from the Atlantic Ocean and are hand-packed at our cannery in Cambados. The result, amazing gourmet canned Squids with an intense flavor and elegant presentation.
Once the Squids arrive at out cannery, they are eviscerated and cleaned by hand. Then, they are turned inside out and the peritoneum is removed. Once fully cleaned, the are stuffed with their own tentacles. Afterwards, they are boiled in brine, washed and packed by hand. The canning process is very artisanal.
The Real Conservera Squids “Chipirones” are available in two different covering liquids: Olive Oil and Ink Sauce. Both are made with in-house with natural ingredients.
On the one hand, we offer the Squids “Chipirones” in Olive Oil. The covering liquid is 85% refined Olive Oil and the remaining 15% is Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
On the other hand, we have the Squids “Chipirones” in Ink Sauce. In which the covering liquid is a homemade sauce using a traditional recipe that includes olive oil, squid ink, and other natural ingredients. The ink sauce is made in our in-house kitchen like all of the sauces that we use for our products.
Canned Squids must be stored in a cool and dry place at room temperature. These canned seafood products have a preffered consumption fate of 6 and 4 years respectively.
We recommend eating directly from the can or together with some rice, paired with some white wine.
